Slideways Go Karting Brisbane has had a birthday, it has a fresh knew look, and we want you to be one of the first to try it out!
Still located at 870 Kingsford Smith Drive at Eagle Farm, the new look is the first change to the circuit configuration since the facility opened for business, with the total track length now extended to 420m.
The new layout is more free flowing, wider, and importantly, faster.
Exiting the bridge off ramp, the previous series of three tight hairpins has been replaced by a pair of sweeping right hand corners, before rejoining the old circuit adjacent to the foyer.
After the right hand hairpin at the spectator viewing area, the track links through a sweeping section, before a much wider, double apex left hand hairpin, followed by a left right combination that leads under the cross over bridge.
Despite being a longer layout, lap times are very close to the previous benchmark due to the higher average speed.
One of the key strengths of the new circuit with the longer straights is that overtaking is now easier, and the chances of a last second kamikaze moves are limited.
Slideways Go Karting Brisbane is open 7 days a week from 10am – 10pm.
Bookings are currently pouring in for the best time slots ahead of Christmas, with the venue a local institution for end of year parties.
